I Have Permission to
Happy Meta Mondays! This week is all about giving yourself permission!
I have permission to
This week’s inspiration comes from an Audio Book I’ve been listening to while at the gym called “Unfu*k Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and into Your Life” by Gary John Bishop.
What really got me going when I was listening to the book was his teachings about willingness. This led me into of course thinking about permissions and what we allow ourselves to do. Actually, willingness is how ready you are to make a change. This is a brand New Year and I anticipate many of the intentions that we set last week will come to full fruition but it’s going to need your willingness.
In order for our intentions that we set to really take effect, it’s time for us to get really honest with ourselves. Think about those intentions you set last week. (If you didn’t read last weeks blog it’s right here: My intention is to….) Now think about whether or not you are willing to make the changes necessary in your life to achieve those intentions. If the answer is yes then that’s GREAT! Start making and feeling those steps to success and accomplishment. If the answer is no, don’t beat yourself up. This means it’s time to bite off a smaller more attainable piece of the intention. Perhaps you set an intention to go to the gym 5 days a week but are not REALLY willing to do that. Now’s the time to get real and recognize that 3 days is what you’re really willing to do.
Now on the flip side of willingness is unwillingness. Are there certain things in your life you’re unwilling to give up? What are those things? (Carbs is one of mine. I refuse to give up carbs!) Will those things be hurdles that get in the way of your intentions? Will those things you are unwilling to give up actually hold you true to your values. DING DING DING!
At the root of what we are willing or unwilling to be, do and/or have is our values. The beautiful little things that only we know are true to our inner self. We’ll get into values as time goes on, but for now, let’s focus this week on what you are giving yourself permission to do. Are you willing to say YES to life? Are you currently saying NO to life? You have the key to open or close doors at a thoughts notice by simply saying yes or no. Or I choose to open that door and/or close that door. The choice is yours.
Wishing you all Peace and Love as you radiate your special light.
