My Time is Valuable


This all came up for me because this week I noticed that my body naturally took a facebook hiatus.  Not craving information that’s attacking my subconscious or really caring how many likes I did or did not have.  I want to continue this feeling of being MORE CONNECTED and MORE PRESENT in my daily life.

This week I’m eliminating distractions and getting serious about the information I’m feeding my brain.  I’m taking 2 action steps towards this and invite you to do the same:

  1.  I’m not checking my facebook again this week.  I use an outside posting system so I don’t have to actually log onto facebook but I can still share posts from the Today is a Great Day movement as well as Meta Mondays.  I’m fueling my brain healthy thoughts, habits, and intentions this week!

  2.  I’m also going to make the commitment to not go down the email rabbit hole.  I’ll find that I will open my email at some point during the day and those dang catchy subject lines get me!  They get a reaction out of me and then start feeding me nonsense!  As I’m going through my email this week I’ll be sure to use the spam filter feature as well as asking the question:  “Does this email help me achieve my goals”

  3. Use the time limit feature on your iPhone!  I set mine for 1 hour of social media time and once it hits, it’s gone for the day!

These 3 steps may seem simple enough, but I assure you that if you follow through on any of them you’ll find yourself with an abundance of YOUR time.

Set yourself up for success – With an abundance of time may come an emotion that’s hiding itself as boredom.  This is a FAKE EMOTION!  (Like Fake News but worse!) – This is your body trying to suck you back into old habits to keep you doing the same thing.  Set yourself up for success at the beginning of the week and create a list of things that you’d like to accomplish, grab a book you’d like to read or enroll in a new class.  You’re going to need something to fill this new found life of yours!

If you find yourself doing something that you think may not be worthy of your time, simply use this week’s words of guidance “My Time is Valuable” and get yourself back on track!  The clock’s ticking!  It’s time to get out there and live life!
